myWarehouse moves home
myWarehouse.com, the e-fulfilment service targeting startup retailers, has moved home, transferring from the premises of its original partner-company (a pharmaceutical business) to the base of an established e-commerce specialist, Ark-H Handling. The move is said to have provided space for growth and the potential for adding new services. Although launched only this spring, the service is said to have been building up volumes rapidly. Co-founder Richard Tucker told us it was adding new clients at the rate of around one per week. Most are relatively small businesses, he says, but some are bigger retailers wanting to break e-fulfilment out of their other supply-chain activities. The company says that its operations will be kept entirely separate from those of Ark-H Handling, and will use its own system and staff. However, it will be able to flex into a warehouse with an ultimate capacity of 150,000 sq ft. The new facility will also allow the company to add services such as kitting and mailing, the company says.
