Tefal, Rowenta and Moulinex fulfilment by Norbert Dentressangle
Tefal, Rowenta, Moulinex and Krups domestic electrical appliances sold online in Britain are now being handled by Norbert Dentressangle Logistics UK. Groupe SEB, the company behind these brands, has extended a retail warehousing and distribution contract signed with Dentressangle last year to include fulfilment of goods sold through its own web site, www.homeandcook.co.uk. Dentressangle will handle picking, packing and despatch of home deliveries, using mail or parcel carriers for the final delivery. The company says it expects to handle around 10,000 home delivery items a year – a modest volume in relation to the 100,000 pallets it will be despatching, but significant in home shopping terms. The contractor is also responsible for returns management and end of life products. In support of the e-commerce operation, Dentressangle is making use of the RedPrairie warehouse management system already installed at the site, using a direct interface to Groupe SEB's systems and the Home & Cook web front end, which was designed and is managed by web hosting provider Dodec. According to Groupe SEB UK logistics manager Alan Shepherd: 'Bringing the e-logistics operation under the same roof was an obvious next step.' Norbert Dentressangle took over Christian Salvesen just under two years ago. Following a period of consolidation, it now seems keen to raise the profile of its extensive e-fulfilment activities in the UK, which include operations such as that for SEB, as well as two-man deliveries.
