Shopping cart front end adds appeal to Omnica suite

The Microsoft Dynamics-based multi-channel fulfilment suite from UK developer Omnica is now available in the United States, where it has already attracted two online retail customers. It is marketed there by a partner-company.

Omnica managing director Harry Manley told F&E: 'It's our custom shopping cart system that has really made the difference over there.' He explains that whilst various software developers in the US offer Dynamics-based multi-channel solutions, few include distinguishing features such as a modern, configurable shopping cart.

He adds: 'Ironically, we used a US-based e-commerce engine as the basis for our shopping cart module, since we felt there was no point in reinventing the wheel.' He says Omnica adds value in the way that it links the front end with the fulfilment resources inherent in the rest of the Omnica suite, combining flexibility and power.

Omnica's shopping cart front end is now available to UK users, and Manley says it adds a unique attraction to the Omnica package.
