Weighing equipment web portal

If you want an answer to a question about weighing equipment, there's now a new place you can look – an online web portal launched by Avery Weigh-Tronix.

It's described as a service portal for simple maintenance management, and looks particularly useful if you're having to wrestle with calibration certificates.

According to service director Dave Webb: 'Keeping track of calibration certificates using a paper-based system is a complex task in its own right. Using our new online system, the problem of lost calibration certificates will become a thing of the past.'

Each customer portal is a secure password protected site. It enables authorised people to access information about all their weighing equipment in a way that suits their needs.

It doesn't matter if their calibration certificates are for equipment held across multiple sites and contracts, or if their equipment includes other makers' products. Avery Weigh-Tronix can service both its own and other manufacturer's weighing equipment.

Avery Weigh-Tronix has supplied all of its 250 service technicians with palmtop computers, so they can now upload maintenance and service details to the portal as work is completed.
