Towsure appoints APC
Towsure appoints APC

Towsure, a leading supplier of camping and leisure equipment, has appointed parcels carrier APC Overnight to handle both home and retail deliveries under a contract that involves more than 800 parcels a night.

Under the deal between the two companies, APC has based one of its staff members permanently at Towsure's distribution centre in Sheffield. His task is to ensure that orders are picked, scanned and loaded correctly into cages for despatch to the APC hub in Wolverhampton. From here they are sent on to their final destinations under APC's next-day delivery service.

Integration of Towsure's Sage Line 100 business system with APC Overnight's in-house IT system is said to be helping to maximise efficiency at the Towsure warehouse, and has also allowed the company to offer its customers the chance to track their parcels online.

Towsure sells a wide range of equipment through retail outlets and direct to consumers via a mail-order catalogue and an online store.
