Kewill, the software house which these days describes itself as a leading provider of global solutions for 'the dynamic supply network', has entered a partnership agreement with e-customs, a web-based customs clearance provider.

It should mean that importers, exporters and their service providers worldwide will be able to cut the cost of UK customs clearance and ensure efficient deliveries through guaranteed compliance, shipping visibility and secure transactions. Kewill says users can reduce their landed costs by automating formerly manual processes.

Kewill already offers its won customs product, SPEX, which it says is used by over 300 companies in the UK. It aims to facilitate the production of export documentation for customs authorities across the world.

Managing director e-customs Alun Davies says it is the only web-based customs declaration business with first-hand customs experience and the ability to link to all inventory ports in the UK.
